Start Your Career or Investment Journey in Cyprus – Apply for Entry and Work Permits with Confidence
Cyprus, being a member of the European Union and a strategic business hub in the Eastern Mediterranean, offers excellent opportunities for international professionals, entrepreneurs, and skilled workers. The Cyprus Business Visa and Work Permit process allows non-EU citizens to lawfully enter and work in Cyprus through employer sponsorship and government authorization.
The Cyprus Business Visa is designed for:
Professionals entering Cyprus for employment under a verified work contract
Entrepreneurs or foreign investors engaging in business activity in the country
Employees of foreign companies or multinational firms operating in Cyprus
Skilled workers where no qualified Cypriot nationals are available
Note: Applicants must be residing outside Cyprus at the time of application.
The process for a Cyprus Business Visa and Work Permit involves:
Employer-Sponsored Application:
Your future employer in Cyprus must submit the visa application on your behalf to the Civil Registry and Migration Department, via the District Aliens and Immigration Branch of the Police.
Labour Market Approval:
The application must include a work contract stamped by the Department of Labour under the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, verifying that there are no qualified Cypriot workers for the job position.
Final Processing & Entry Permit:
After approval from labour authorities, the Civil Registry and Migration Department will issue the entry and work permits if no objections exist against the applicant.
To ensure approval, the employer must submit the following documents along with the application:
Application Forms M.58 and M.64 (completed and signed)
A photocopy of the foreign applicant’s passport
A clean criminal record certificate from the applicant’s home country (attested)
Recent medical examination certificates (including tests for hepatitis, HIV, TB, etc.)

Must be valid for 6 months beyond the contract expiry date
A work contract stamped by:
Department of Labour
Revenue Stamps Registrar (with revenue stamp)
A non-refundable application fee of CYÂŁ20 (payable upon submission)
